the COAT by Katya Silchenko presents Pre-Fall 2026.

the COAT presents Pre-Fall 2026 — a collection about the wardrobe in a world that changes faster than we can get used to.

Pieces easily move from one scenario to another, answering shifts in the rhythm of life, environment and a new digital reality. Pre-Fall shows what clothing becomes when a woman is constantly changing herself.

“We make clothes that live longer than a season. These are pieces you return to like a favorite feeling — familiar and new at the same time.”

Katya Silchenko continues the tradition of creating a new heroine for her universe every season — an expression of her creative freedom that appears in different guises: sometimes an elf, sometimes a woman in a dress with flippers and a net. This time the COAT turns to the image of a visitor, an alien. It’s a metaphor for an outsider’s viewpoint, one that lets us see the familiar anew.

The collection was shot on seven models — six women of different ages and experiences and one man: the COAT fundamentally does not cast a single type, and the clothes fit each person equally well. Among the heroines is a grey-haired woman with glasses, in whom the designer saw an older version of herself; the alien became the alter ego of each of them: everyone has their own path, and each has “arrived” at where she is in her own way. The collection consists of three lines: the COAT Denim, the COAT Outerwear and the COAT Cashmere.

Denim works with construction and proportion: corset jackets, silhouette dresses and signature jeans are presented in Timeless Blue, Deep Navy and Muted Grey. the COAT Outerwear offers a wide spectrum of outerwear — from corduroy coats and structured jackets to midi bombers, leopard prints and voluminous down coats. the COAT Cashmere answers for softness and freedom: capes, ponchos and oversized shawls change with movement and the way they’re worn.

“When you’ve worked on a brand for twelve years, a strange feeling appears — you already know your woman. And at the same time that very knowledge is the greatest danger: it’s easy to start repeating what has worked instead of leaving room for something new. This collection is about holding both feelings at once: recognizability and moving forward.

Pre-Fall 2026 is a wardrobe a woman builds for herself. I was thinking about transience — not only of a season, but of a state: when you are no longer who you were, and not yet exactly who you will become. I wanted clothes that do not dictate, but follow that movement.

It’s important to me that after years of work at the COAT a distinct DNA has formed — something recognized even before someone sees the label. Not a logo, but the shoulder line, the way the fabric holds its shape, the way a piece sits even when there is no recognizable brand element on it.”

With love, Katya!
