Dsquared2 has appointed footballer Fermín López as its new global brand ambassador.

The Canadian-Italian fashion brand Dsquared2 is expanding its roster of global ambassadors. Just a week after signing singer Bad Gyal, Dsquared2 is once again turning to Spanish talent by enlisting footballer Fermín López—a native of Huelva—as the brand’s new face. This move aligns with the brand’s evolving aesthetic and its long-standing ties to the world of sports.
“We have always drawn inspiration from the passion of athletes, and Fermín is a true role model. His energy on the field energizes everyone around him, while off the field he displays a natural, carefree attitude toward life that perfectly aligns with the Dsquared2 DNA,”explained founders Dean and Dan Caten. For the designers, sport is not only a source of inspiration but also one of the brand’s creative cornerstones, symbolizing the fusion of competitive intensity and the “rebellious spirit of pop culture.”

As part of this collaboration, Fermín López will serve as the face of the brand’s upcoming international advertising campaigns and participate in several of its major global events. “I have always admired Dsquared2 for the way the brand blends character with elegance. For me, fashion is a way to express myself off the pitch, and I feel a natural connection to the brand’s energy and creative spirit. It is a true honor to become part of the Dsquared2 family,” said the Barcelona and Spain national team midfielder.

Founded in 1995 by brothers Dean and Dan Caten, the brand is known for combining Canadian iconography with modern Italian tailoring under the motto “Born in Canada, Made in Italy.” In Spain, Dsquared2 currently operates three standalone stores—located on Calle José Ortega y Gasset in Madrid, at La Roca Village, and at the Muelle de Levante complex in Puerto Banús—as well as a concession at the El Corte Inglés department store in Puerto Banús. Recent company developments include the appointment earlier this year of Chiara Baravalle, formerly of Gucci, as CEO.
