Olga Galushka is the heroine of Fashion Addicted’s new digital cover. She is a personal and corporate stylist, founder of MODETON School of Style and co-founder of fashion retailer FÓLK.
We spoke with Olga about the development of MODETON, the opening and concept of the new curated FÓLK space, personal style and her goals for the future.

1. Olga, today MODETON is known not only in Ukraine but also far beyond its borders. How has your audience changed since the school was launched, and which countries are your students joining from today?
In 2024, we conducted a large-scale study of our audience. At that point, MODETON already had students from 35 countries around the world. Considering that thousands more people have completed the school over the past two years, I am sure that our geography is now significantly broader.
Our students include women from practically every part of Ukraine, as well as from different countries across Europe, North America and Asia. Every time I think about this, I feel incredibly proud. Realising that knowledge created in Ukraine resonates with people in different parts of the world is an extraordinary feeling.
But what matters most is not even that. What I find most rewarding is how people discover MODETON – primarily through recommendations from our graduates.
In my opinion, this is one of the strongest indicators of the quality of our education. If someone recommends the school to a friend or colleague, it means that the knowledge they gained has genuinely influenced their life and professional development. For me, that is the greatest value.

2. When you launched MODETON, could you have imagined that the project would grow to this scale? What became the key factor behind its success?
I have an inner feeling that if I have honestly given a project my very best, and I am personally satisfied with what I have created, then, most likely, it will be valuable to others as well. That was exactly the feeling behind the creation of MODETON.
The second very important factor is our educational format. Everything happens fully LIVE. We work with real clients, real cases and real challenges that arise in a stylist’s work every day.
The entire programme is based on my practical experience and that of our resident speakers. That is why students receive not just theory, but knowledge they can apply immediately.
Another advantage of the live format is that we can adapt our education very quickly to the way the market changes. And in our profession, that is incredibly important.

3. You recently opened FÓLK – a space dedicated to Ukrainian brands in Ivano-Frankivsk. How long had you wanted to bring this project to life?
Here comes an unexpected answer. I was not actually the person who believed in this project the most.
My husband believed in FÓLK much more. He was the one who convinced me to take this step, and today I am incredibly grateful to him for that decision.
Today, the space brings together around 40 Ukrainian brands across different price segments and practically every category of the wardrobe. FÓLK has never been simply about clothes for me. I don’t know how to – and don’t want to – think about it that superficially.
It is a curated space where we build a fashion community and promote Ukrainian fashion, and that is probably the most rewarding part of the project.
Of course, the most valuable thing is hearing people say that this is exactly the kind of place they felt was missing in Ivano-Frankivsk.

4. What brand selection is currently represented at FÓLK? Are you planning to expand the number of brands?
FÓLK currently features GUNIA Project, Ruslan Baginskiy, J’AMEMME, FROLOV, Guzema, THE COAT and many other Ukrainian brands.
To be honest, we no longer have the capacity to significantly expand the selection, as the space has its physical limits.
So we have chosen a different approach. We constantly analyse our clients’ needs, their lifestyles and stylistic preferences, and regularly update the selection.
That is why, from time to time, some brands are replaced by others. For us, it is not about having more brands, but about making sure they are the right ones for the people who come to FÓLK.

5. Speaking about personal style, how would you describe yours today?
Recently, I conducted a customer development interview with my audience, and this was one of the questions.
One girl answered: “relaxed femininity”, and that was exactly it. That is how I feel.
The foundation of my style is minimalism, drama and smart casual, with subtle touches of romance.
At the same time, I don’t like being categorical. I enjoy experimenting when something aligns with my own inner sense of beauty.
I get the greatest pleasure from working with shapes, lines and proportions. And the mood of a look is very often created for me through an interesting pair of shoes or accessories.

6. What goals have you set for yourself for the coming years?
I love dreaming. But I love turning those dreams into reality even more.
There are so many ideas: developing MODETON, corporate styling, FÓLK and my personal projects.
Interestingly, I almost never set myself goals ten years ahead. I feel much more comfortable planning the next few months while having a clear understanding of the overall direction in which I want to move.
I know where I want to go, but I always leave room for life, because somehow it very often leads us to even better opportunities than the ones we had planned for ourselves.
Perhaps the most important thing I have realised in recent years is that I get the greatest satisfaction from the process itself. The result is simply a very pleasant dopamine reward for the journey I have taken.
